Troubleshoot power loss first- We see boost leaks and poor fuel as common causes of low power. If you email us a Datalog from your AIm, Power Vision, or Maptuner, we can analyze it and point to the issue.
Most often, this is a low Horsepower or poor engine performance issue- A couple of things you MUST check and report to us before we adjust clutching.
IF YOU NEED WE HAVE A KWI POWER TROUBLESHOOTING KIT FOR RENT HERE (only pay for shipping)
1. Make sure you are running fresh fuel (fresh means less than a week old) with AT LEAST the octane rating required for your tune
2. Make sure the secondary spring is in the proper hole #, and you twisted the helix CW and compressed past the rollers. This will affect RPM greatly if not done properly.
3. Make sure you don't have any boost leaks, as even a small leak will rob power and affect engine RPM. We have a KWI BOOST LEAK TESTER if you need it for sale on our website.
4. Make sure your WASTEGATE CRACK PRESSURE and BOOST are correct per your tuner's instructions with a KNOWN GOOD mightyvac (the cheaper plastic mighty vac gauges are known to be inaccurate) and verify WASTEGATE DUTY CYCLE with a data logger such as a Powervision by driving the car at full power then reviewing and sending us the data log.
5. Ensure your intercooler fan is working and your charge temps aren't above 150 degrees F.
6. Check compression with a known good compression gauge.
If all these are good, let us know, and we will get you a different weight and spring combination.
