Pro XP Ultrashift Cover Spacer Installation Instructions
Tools Needed
•4 1/2-inch hole saw
•3/16-inch drill bit
•Rivet gun
•High-temperature silicone or gasket maker
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.Remove the Cover:
•Take the clutch cover off the vehicle.
2.Drill the Center Hole:
•Using a 4-inch hole saw, drill out the center of the cover on the primary clutch side.
•Use the indented circle in the center as your pilot for precise alignment.
3.Test Fit the Cover Spacer:
•Place the cover spacer on the cover, ensuring the XP lightning bolt is at the top.
•The logo may look crooked but will align correctly once the cover is installed on the vehicle.
4.Drill Mounting Holes:
•Line up the cover spacer and drill four holes using a 3/16-inch drill bit.
•Use the pre-drilled holes on the spacer as a guide.
5.Apply Silicone or Gasket Maker:
•Apply high-temperature silicone or gasket maker around the flange of the cover spacer to ensure a proper seal.
6.Rivet the Spacer:
•Rivet the cover spacer to the cover using the supplied rivets.
•Rivet from the inside out so the flat part of the rivet is on the inside of the cover.
7.Seal and Inspect:
•Verify that everything is sealed. Reapply gasket maker or silicone on the outside if needed.
8.Reinstall the Cover:
•Reinstall the clutch cover onto the vehicle.
•Allow the silicone or gasket maker to cure fully before riding.
