Ultrashift V2 XP Tuning Chart Overview
The chart below provides guidelines for vehicles running 30-33” tires at sea level. Adjustments may be required for specific conditions.
For High Altitudes: Subtract 15% from the published HP range to determine effective HP. Example: 200 CHP (sea level) x 0.85 = 170 CHP. Use the 161 CHP row in the chart as your baseline.
For Sand Dunes or Large Tires (35”+): Subtract 8% from the published HP range to determine effective HP. Example: 200 CHP x 0.92 = 184 CHP. Use the 181 CHP row as your baseline.
For Tires 28” and Smaller: Add 8% to the published HP range to determine effective HP. Example: 200 CHP x 1.08 = 216 CHP. Use the 220 CHP row as your baseline.
For Launch Control: Install the Launch Control Primary Spring (sold separately) to raise engagement RPMs. Add 2 magnets to each arm in Hole #1 or #2 to compensate for additional spring pressure.
Adjusting RPM: Cam arms have three magnet holes:
•Hole #1: Controls RPMs below 30 MPH.
•Hole #2: Controls RPMs between 30 and 50 MPH.
•Hole #3: Controls RPMs above 60 MPH.
Adding magnets lowers RPMs, while removing magnets raises RPMs. Magnets must be evenly distributed to maintain balance. RPMs should be checked at 100% throttle between 20 and 70 MPH.

Additional Recommendations
•High Engagement Springs:
•KWI Maroon Spring: 1750 RPM low engagement.
•KWI Silver Purple Spring: 2700 RPM high engagement.
•KWI Silver Spring: 3400 RPM high engagement.
High engagement springs raise shift RPMs and require additional magnets in cam arms to compensate for increased spring pressure.
•Belt Recommendations:
•Gates 49R4313: Best for aggressive riding and racing; highly durable.
•Ultimax USX804: Ideal for drag racing with the Ultrashift.
•OEM Polaris Belt: Standard and reliable.
Troubleshooting
1.Verify engine performance before making clutching adjustments. Clutching issues often stem from low power or drivetrain problems.
2.Check for issues such as wastegate actuator crack pressure, boost leaks, poor fuel quality, or using the “eco” or “valet” key.
3.Refer to KWI videos on the support section of their website or YouTube for additional help.
