DX3 AO Tuning Chart Overview

This chart helps you calibrate your clutch based on your vehicle model, tune, and tire size. Follow these recommendations for optimal performance.

 

Setup Chart for DX3 AO

 

Use the settings below for proper calibration based on your configuration:

 

1000 / Stock with 28” Tires: Use 3 magnets per weight, KWI Blue/Orange primary spring, and KWI Black/Green secondary spring with the stock helix in Hole #4. Optionally, use the KWI DR3 Groovix helix in Hole #2. Full-throttle RPM should be 6700 ± 100 RPM.

 

1000 / Stock with 32” Tires: Use 1 magnet per weight, KWI Blue/Orange primary spring, and KWI Black/Green secondary spring with the stock helix in Hole #6. Optionally, use the KWI DR3 Groovix helix in Hole #5.

 

1000 / Stock with 35” Tires: No magnets are required. Use the same spring and helix settings as for 32” tires.

 

1000 / 93 Octane Tune with 28” Tires: Use 4 magnets per weight, KWI Blue/Orange primary spring, and KWI Black/Green secondary spring with the stock helix in Hole #4. Optionally, use the KWI DR3 Groovix helix in Hole #2.

 

1000 / 93 Octane Tune with 32” Tires: Use 2 magnets per weight, KWI Blue/Orange primary spring, and KWI Black/Green secondary spring with the stock helix in Hole #6. Optionally, use the KWI DR3 Groovix helix in Hole #5.

 

1000 / 93 Octane Tune with 35” Tires: No magnets are required. Use the same spring and helix settings as for 32” tires.

 

Magnet Placement Guidelines

 

The AO cam arms have two magnet holes. Magnets can be placed in either hole, but they must be evenly distributed to maintain clutch balance. Ensure opposing arms have identical magnet configurations. Magnets must be flush—do not overfill slots.
