Before adjusting clutching RPM, check the following:
- Ensure you're running fresh fuel with the required octane rating.
- Check for boost leaks using the KWI Boost Leak Tester instructions here.
- Verify wastegate crack pressure and boost as per your tuner's instructions using a Mighty-Vac or datalogger like Maptuner or Powervision.
- Ensure your intercooler fan is working, and charge temps stay below 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Use a compression tester to verify good compression in each cylinder.
- Check for excessive drivetrain resistance, like binding CVs or dragging brakes.
